Get Lovable Resources

So many barriers to realizing self-love are delivered knowingly or unknowingly through expectations about what girls (and women) should and shouldn't do, how they should or shouldn't feel, or be. But we know that self-love and loveability are about accepting yourself, showing kindness to the good and murky parts, and practicing the courage & vulnerability it takes to be different—unique, yourself. Realizing loveability means navigating false messaging without internalizing it and finding your way through difficult emotions that feed negative internal judgments. That’s a tall order, especially for a growing girl! So, we’ve created age-appropriate resources for the littles and the bigs in the hope that it will help you spark conversations with your daughters, nieces, and friends (and even sons) to plant the seed of encouragement that they embrace all of themselves and know that no matter what, they are loveable.

Lovable Curriculum for Girls

Self-Acceptance is the Gateway to Self-Love

The Lovable curriculum is designed to help girls recognize their inherent loveability and grow self-love through self-acceptance. It asks two essential questions:What gets in the way of recognizing/knowing that we are loveable? What root perceptions, thoughts, actions, and/or behaviors produce self-love or the knowingness of ‘loveability’?The curriculum engages girls in conversations and activities that address the barriers that prevent all people from realizing their loveability and self-worth. At its core, the Loveable curriculum emphasizes self-acceptance as the gateway to self-love, promoting positive self-perception and affirming internal dialogue.

The Lovable curriculum consists of 20 explorations focused on seven key themes:

Loveable

Self-Love

Girls explore the concepts of external and internal love, identify ways self-love is inhibited and expressed, and assess its importance in their lives.

Making Mistakes

Girls examine their self-talk around mistakes, discuss societal messages about errors, and learn to use mistakes as tools for resilience and growth.

Difficult Emotions

Girls identify and manage difficult emotions, reframing them to refrain or re-cognize self-judgment and see the useful aspects of difficult emotions.

Self-Acceptance

Girls define self-acceptance, connect it to loveability, and work towards accepting all parts of themselves.

Embracing Failure

Girls redefine failure, understand its relationship with success, and reframe its use as a teacher and guide.

Broken Promises

Girls convert empathy into self-compassion while managing expectations, and setting healthy boundaries.

Navigating Overwhelm

Girls explore the physiology of overwhelm, self-care strategies, and the importance of vulnerability.
